Woking Dance Space's annual showcase, titled 'The Rhythm of Life,' took place at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre, featuring over 100 performers aged 20 to 85. The event aimed to showcase the many disciplines of dance, including contemporary, tap, ballet, street, and jazz. The Dance Space is a registered charity based in Mayford, aiming to encourage dance as a creative and healthy activity, foster social connection and community, and provide affordable dance classes for adults regardless of age, previous training, or experience. The showcase featured 22 sequences, paced through with slick choreography and imaginative staging. The stage management added much to the impact of the show by ensuring it sped along in a seemingly effortless manner. The programme was cleverly grouped into skill levels, with beginner programmes drawing attention for their new fulfilment and practical skill achievement. The advanced and confident Open Jazz interpretation of 'Let's Dance' attracted substantial applause. The showcase captured the essential spirit of the Woking Dance Space, enjoyed by a packed and enthusiastic audience.
