Woking have signed goalkeeper Vicente Reyes on loan from Norwich City until January. The 23-year-old Chilean international arrives to bolster the Cardinals' goalkeeping options immediately.
Reyes brings experience from the Championship, League One and League Two, having had loan spells with Cambridge United, Forest Green Rovers and Peterborough United. He has also represented Chile at Under-23 level and received senior call-ups. Director of Football Jody Brown explained the move was necessary due to an evolving situation within the squad.
"With Craig’s role evolving and his managerial responsibilities taking priority over playing, we all agreed that Will needs competition and cover," Brown said.
The signing comes as Woking sit 15th in the National League with 15 points from 12 games. Their recent form reads WLWDD, a run that includes a 3-1 away win at Eastleigh last time out. Reyes is now available for selection and could make his debut in the next fixture, a home match against second-placed Harrogate Town on Saturday. Fans can view the full upcoming schedule on the club's fixtures page and check the latest squad list.
Reyes has made four first-team appearances for Norwich and spent the first half of last season on loan at Peterborough. His arrival provides immediate depth as Woking prepare for a challenging run of games.
