Josh Kelly's late volley earned Woking a point in a 1-1 draw away to Boston United on Tuesday. The striker struck in the 73rd minute to cancel out Terrell Agyemang's early opener for the hosts.
Boston had taken the lead after just six minutes. A corner was not cleared and a miskick from Connor McBride fell for Agyemang, who scored from close range. Woking goalkeeper Louis Chadwick was called into action to make saves from Steven Turner and Liam Dulson before the break, while at the other end, Nicholas Pozo saw a long-range effort saved by Will Jaaskelainen.
The equaliser came from a well-worked move. Jaiden Putman delivered a cross from the left and Kelly met it with a first-time volley that flew past Jaaskelainen. The result leaves Woking 18th in the National League standings with nine points from their opening nine fixtures. Their recent form shows two wins, two draws and one defeat from the last five outings.
Woking now look ahead to a trip to face Carlisle United this Saturday.
