Woking Football Club has installed new LED floodlights at the Laithwaite Community Stadium. The upgrade improves the quality and efficiency of the stadium's lighting system ahead of the club's next home fixture.
Funding sources behind the upgrade
The project was made possible through substantial investment from the club’s ownership. It also received a grant from the Premier League Stadium Fund and a significant financial contribution from the Cards Trust. Robin Byrne expressed gratitude to the Premier League Stadium Fund and the Cards Trust.
"This is a really important investment for Woking Football Club and another milestone in the continued development of the Laithwaite Community Stadium," Byrne said.
First use confirmed for upcoming fixture
The new floodlights will be operational for the first time when Woking host Solihull Moors. The installation supports the club’s ongoing ambition to develop the Laithwaite Community Stadium.
Woking will be looking to improve on their recent form under the new lights.
